June 22, 2023 - Last Transfer!!
This is wild, I'm starting my last transfer tomorrow! It doesn't feel real haha. Because I'm going to the fall semester at BYU I'm going to come home a transfer early. I'm kinda anxious about it honestly, feeling like it's coming too soon. My entire life I've been looking forward to the mission and now that it's almost over it just doesnt feel right. Going to grind out these last 6 weeks as hard as I can though.
This last week was pretty cool. Last Tuesday we had my last zone conference with President Dunn. We started it with an Endowment session at the temple as a zone. So cool to be there with President Dunn. He taught about consecration and sacrifice and I really loved it. I'm really gonna miss him. He's made a huge impact on me and my mission. So next Tuesday we get President Saxton as my new mission president. I'm hyped to meet him.
Our friends are doing pretty well. It's hard because people's agency literally determines everything haha. We're helping them and I know God's timing is perfect so I think they'll get there. We found some new people who were super genuine so hopefully they go well.
So we've been getting heckled a lot recently hahaha. People yelling the most obscure and kinda rude but kinda funny statements at us. The funny thing is, is when it's a guy by himself in his car. He just yells stuff at us and we just laugh lol. But then it is great when member honk at us or tell us to keep going when we're biking or walking.
Throughout the scriptures it always says "except ye repent..." and I love that. Sometimes it's preceded or followed up with some pretty hard consequences but it shows how merciful God is. He always gives us multiple chances to repent and he will always forgive us if we repent. That repentance is through Jesus Christ and we can always repent daily. It keeps us from the natural consequences of our own choices and allows us to feel the peace and joy and rest from Jesus Christ.
Send me an email if you get a chance!
Love yall,
Elder Barlow!🐿
