Elder Joseph Barlow - Nevada Reno Mission

Whats up! We had an amazing finding experience this week where we knocked on a random apartment door that we felt inspired to knock on and it ended up being an amazing man named Daniel! He's been through a lot and sharing the gospel to him is so cool to see him understand and learn and it makes me so happy. We had the ward Christmas party this week and we invited like 25 people and we had 1 show up haha. Kind of a bummer but I'm so happy that the 1 guy came.  Christmas time is awesome, I love talking about Christ with so many people and celebrating Him and His birth. It really is the best time to be a missionary! You all should invite the missionaries over to hear a Christmas message!!  I love all the names of Christ and recently my favorite has been Prince of Peace! He brings peace to all of us in every circumstance of our lives! You all should study the names of Christ and learn from each of them, they all teach us something about Jesus Christ! Christmas Tree This week went by quick and was pretty crazy. We tried to go back and teach Daniel a couple times and both times he turned us away so I was like dang that sucks but then we ended up walking around the apartment complex and met these people who were desperately looking for help with service and we happened to walk by at the perfect time.  My new friend Rosie In the same complex right after that we knocked on Jacques door and he was not doing well like he was in a low place so it was perfect timing as well. And I'm pretty sure we left his apartment smelling like cigarettes and weed so that was just wonderful but it was sick we were able to help him out and give him some motivation to go to his job interview that he was gonna skip.
