Elder Joseph Barlow - Nevada Reno Mission

Finished up my first full week here at the mtc.  I've beans happy and I've been learning so much.  Elder Gong came and spoke for the devotional on Tuesday and it was awesome to hear him speak. He stayed after to shake everyone's hand, it was so cool.  He made sure he got everyone, it made me think of how Christ blessed the Nephites one one. Mom sent me a bunch of mini recorders haha and I haven't missed a beat. Never had one lesson. I picked it up and played hot cross buns like it was nothing. I then gave everyone in my district one and I'm pretty sure everyone at the mtc hates our district now haha. I love it though, we learned how to play in the jungle from the lion king on it. I'll add a video at the bottom. Had to say goodbye to elder haskett this week which was tough but it was so fun being with him here. He's a stud.   Elders Haskett and Barlow! Sooo I finished up week two of my mission this week.  My comp is Elder Schlink from Arizona and he's awesome.  We get along great and he's really knowledgeable in the gospel. The first week I did online mtc and it was really cool.  I learned a lot and it was a lot better than I expected home mtc to go but by the end of it I was ready to be in person.  I spent a lot of time shooting hoops in the backyard and a lot of time playing. with the kendama lol.   This wednesday I showed up to the provo mtc and it was sick, my cousin Stockton was my host. And what are the odds we ended up being in the same zone and same floor. It makes it so nice we have the same schedule and see each other a ton.  My district is awesome and we're already so close and it makes leaving home not hard. Oh and on the first day when we met our district the first thing people said was "Have you ever been told that you look like nick jonas?" so now...
