January 30, 2023 - Bro, What Do We Even Do??

One of the most wild experiences of my mission this week. So essentially we're teaching this couple and the guy Ron has some pretty intense health struggles. But we came by to have a lesson and it went really well teaching faith, repentance, and then invited them to church. Ron was like I just can't get with my health but Jen the wife wanted too. Anyway we had to go so we said a prayer but then Ron tried to stand up and he leaned forward almost fell head first into the wood floor. My comp and I caught him like 2 inches from the floor and set him back in the chair and then he started having a seizure right there. We were freaking out like what do we do so I said let's give him a blessing so we gave him a blessing right there while he was having a seizure. It was insane the seizure didn't stop all the way but his breathing got deeper, he was only twitching, and started responding. It was crazy the priesthood is pretty incredible. Idk we're just like 20 year old dudes and this dudes life was on the line basically haha. It was wild

Other then that the rest of the week was pretty cool. Lots of teaching, our friend Katherine is super genuine and I think there's a ton of potential. It snowed and they canceled church so that was bummer but we got to shovel a ton of snow. My buddy i met like over a year ago Justin got baptized so we got to watch. Super happy for the guy.

  It was a good week but a hard week. Lots of ups and downs. The activity days girls heart attacked our door at the beginning of the week and we're just gonna keep it up for as long as we can.  On Wed I picked up my trainee! His name is Elder Giauque and somehow you pronounce his name like juke. He's from Arizona and he and I are pretty different but we found some common ground on Avatar the Last Airbender lol.   He's excited to do everything and wants to be obedient so that part of training makes it really easy! Ive been working him hard and he's been pretty exhausted but he tells me he likes it so we're gonna keep it up haha. Last transfer I was working on and praying for patience and then God had me become a trainer haha now I'm definitely using that patience! Missionary work can be hard and now training makes it harder but I'm enjoying it and I've learned a ton in these last 5 days. I just hope I can be a good trainer for him!  We got to play some ba...

January 17, 2022 - What It Do Family and Friends

  It was a lovely week and I'm just gonna do some bullet points of some highlights or funny things! ~This amazing lady named Deb told us she wants to join the church so we started the discussions with her and she loves it!! ~Our door approach we tried, "Hey, we've been trying to reach you concerning your cars extended warranty... nah just kidding we're the missionaries haha" got some good laughs out of people with it  ~Met a guy who's name was Jesus and he likes to jump in the park when the moon is high in the sky lol ~Our friend Will that we've been teaching brought his wife and kids to church on Sunday! It was the coolest thing and made me so happy! Definitely the highlight of the week ~Quilted with Sister Mahoney again Quick thought, even if we have just a desire to believe and trust in God and  Christ then that's enough. November 29, 2021 - Elder Uchtdorf the German Shepherd

This week flew by. We had so many meetings this week it was crazy. We district council on Tuesday, zone conference on Wednesday, Thanksgiving on Thursday, and then the mission conference with Elder Uchtdorf on Saturday. And then I spoke in church on Sunday. Definitely the busiest week of my mission so far but also probably the best.  Thanksgiving was awesome, pretty different from being home but at least this year I could taste the food because last year I had covid over Thanksgiving and couldn't taste anything. We visited 5 families, had a really good dinner, and ate a whole lot of pie. We had another lesson with Will this week and it was the best he's such a good person and literally the ideal person you want to teach.  Elder Uchtdorf was so cool. It was almost as if he had a glow to him, he truly carries the Light of Christ. He was funny and making jokes throughout his talk.
