February 6, 2023 - Loneliest Road In America

 Ayo whats up email list!? Life is really good on the mission rn. This week was really fast but really good so if here's the rundown!

The guy that we gave a blessing to while he was having a seizure is doing alright but we've been teaching him and his wife. He's got his own ideas and not very open so it's hard to teach but his wife is loving it. We've taught her and she feels the spirit super strong so she wants to get baptized! The hard thing is she's not showing a ton with her actions yet so hopefully we can get her to church and help her to read!

We went out to Elko for zone conference and got to see my son Elder Hancock again and he's training now which is sick. Elder Neville and I gave a training for zone conference on comp unity and we made a slide show showing a bunch of dynamic duos like batman & Robin, lightning McQueen & Mater, and others. Then we made our own photos haha I'll add them down below. We then went out to Ely to do an exchange and I went with Elder Mokuahi who I came out with so it was cool to serve with him for a day. They cover a tiny town called McGill and then they cover the Garrison branch which is in the small part of Utah we cover. So.... of course I had to go to Utah haha it felt kinda weird crossing the boarder to Utah. There's like nothing out there tho lol it's a tiny town and most of it is already members or less actives. We taught this family like another hour and a half out there and they're the most humble teachable people. I think they'll get baptized there which is cool cuz it's been forever since that branch had a baptism. 

Elder Neville and I took highway 50 back which is the loneliest road in America lol it connects Ely and Fallon Nevada so there's like barley any reason to drive it so no one does basically. We saw very few cars on drive home but we stopped to take some pics along the way and we were just wearing shorts while we drove so it's a pretty iconic photo😎.

  It was a good week but a hard week. Lots of ups and downs. The activity days girls heart attacked our door at the beginning of the week and we're just gonna keep it up for as long as we can.  On Wed I picked up my trainee! His name is Elder Giauque and somehow you pronounce his name like juke. He's from Arizona and he and I are pretty different but we found some common ground on Avatar the Last Airbender lol.   He's excited to do everything and wants to be obedient so that part of training makes it really easy! Ive been working him hard and he's been pretty exhausted but he tells me he likes it so we're gonna keep it up haha. Last transfer I was working on and praying for patience and then God had me become a trainer haha now I'm definitely using that patience! Missionary work can be hard and now training makes it harder but I'm enjoying it and I've learned a ton in these last 5 days. I just hope I can be a good trainer for him!  We got to play some ba...

January 17, 2022 - What It Do Family and Friends

  It was a lovely week and I'm just gonna do some bullet points of some highlights or funny things! ~This amazing lady named Deb told us she wants to join the church so we started the discussions with her and she loves it!! ~Our door approach we tried, "Hey, we've been trying to reach you concerning your cars extended warranty... nah just kidding we're the missionaries haha" got some good laughs out of people with it  ~Met a guy who's name was Jesus and he likes to jump in the park when the moon is high in the sky lol ~Our friend Will that we've been teaching brought his wife and kids to church on Sunday! It was the coolest thing and made me so happy! Definitely the highlight of the week ~Quilted with Sister Mahoney again Quick thought, even if we have just a desire to believe and trust in God and  Christ then that's enough. November 29, 2021 - Elder Uchtdorf the German Shepherd

This week flew by. We had so many meetings this week it was crazy. We district council on Tuesday, zone conference on Wednesday, Thanksgiving on Thursday, and then the mission conference with Elder Uchtdorf on Saturday. And then I spoke in church on Sunday. Definitely the busiest week of my mission so far but also probably the best.  Thanksgiving was awesome, pretty different from being home but at least this year I could taste the food because last year I had covid over Thanksgiving and couldn't taste anything. We visited 5 families, had a really good dinner, and ate a whole lot of pie. We had another lesson with Will this week and it was the best he's such a good person and literally the ideal person you want to teach.  Elder Uchtdorf was so cool. It was almost as if he had a glow to him, he truly carries the Light of Christ. He was funny and making jokes throughout his talk.
