December 19, 2022 - Christmas Szn

The past few weeks have been some of the best. Christmas time as a missionary is so nice you just offer a Christmas message and then transition into offering church or the message of the restoration for next time. It's also pretty sweet to just testify of Christ and his birth everywhere we go. Last week we had a lesson with Hilda and her grandson Drake. Drake is such a good kid and he feels the spirit do strong. And Hilda is so humble and wanting to learn. They're wanting to be baptized so we're shooting for January 21st! Our buddy Bruce is struggling with some challenges with loved ones passing and it's eating him up. He didnt come to church but called us and we dropped all our other appointments to go over because he was not in a good place. We helped him think through it and testified of the rest that comes from Christ in Matthew 11 and what Pres. Nelson talked about. We set up a plan with him to start gaing some traction in his life. He just wants so bad to give it all over to Christ but he's struggling to execute and commit so we're gonna help him out.

This week we had a Christmas zone conference and we've got some Christmas parties this week. We had a talent show and you already know we had to pull out the recorders and nose whistles. Pretty much a professional on both, don't know why I haven't been playing them my whole life. I'll add some pics below...

Also on exchanges with Elder Woolf we were waiting to turn left at an intersection and i looked up and saw two cars collide and the Ford expedition flipped in the air a couple times and then rolled and landed upside down. It was insane we threw the car in park in the intersection and ran over there. We called 911 and the fire department came and the cops pulled up. Luckily everyone was okay but we were helping people and then had to talk to the cops after it was wild. My adrenaline was pumping so high I felt like I could've ran through a brick wall haha I was ready to go save someone's life. Also ran an exchange with Elder Jason Crandall from high school again and he was sick so we couldn't go out it was bummy. Pretty funny tho, if you would've told me 2 years ago I'd be sick on a couch sitting with Jason Crandall from high school in Nevada I would've laughed and been so confused haha. But now we're some buddies and life is just good.

Anyway Christmas is the best time of year. Crazy to think its my last one on the mission. Mission life is so good and I'm loving it a lot right now. Things are moving forward and we're having fun while working hard and being obedient.

Love yall and Merry Christmas! Send me an email if you get a chance!

Love Elder Barlow🎄🎅
