April 17, 2023 - Ups and Downs
This week started out really good and then got harder toward the end but was still really good.
Some highlights we were on exchanges and I was with Elder Crook and that guy is a simple dude. He wears a yellow tie every day and the color yellow just makes him happy. Anyway we've been focusing on the Book of Mormon and we've been setting daily goals and Elder Crook was like we can pass out 5 copies of the Book of Mormon and find 2 people. I was like oh we better start praying for miracles... and anyway we passed out 6 copies of the Book of Mormon and found 4 people! One dude Alonzo just had a baby and just bought a Bible so it was perfect timing he was all into it.
We taught our friend Sal the Restoration and he loved it. He's so humble and receptive. When we read Moroni 10:3-5 he said after, "so basically I should question God out of a place of love about all of this?" He's so good I'm excited for him to go to the ysa ward and see what he thinks.
I got to see my uncle Jason!! He was in town for work so he took me to dinner and got some home made cookies from Marisa and Jason! Shoutout Marisa and Jason!!
Some funny stories!
- A member created a symbolic passover feast and while she was reading all these passover prayers her dog was biting my toes and I was just kicking her dog for 5 minutes trying to keep him from getting eating my feet
- I crashed on my bike for the first time but I looked good doing it
- We met this guy who was super high and was pointing out aircrafts in the sky that weren't there
-Got a flat bike tire on my comps bike so that was bummy
Little thought about how I've been feeling lately! Hope you all can do the same!
1 Nephi 17:15
"Wherefore, I, Nephi, did strive to keep the commandments of the Lord, and I did exhort my brethren to faithfulness and diligence."
Have a good week!
