June 6, 2022 - Kung Fu Panda for God

This week was so much better than last week haha. We had a nice exchange and we found a lot of people this week. Two who are super promising! One of them said she's wanting to feel the spirit more and just wants to draw closer to God and I was just thinking oh do we have the church for you. The other lady we got a referral for today and we went by and God's been preparing her for her entire life. The spirit has already taught her so much about the gospel from her own studying and learning so when her sister in law gave her a Book of Mormon she was so amazed. She's already read all of 1 Nephi in 2 days. So cool I'm hyped to continue teaching her. 


We had our baptism for Johnny! The interview went great and the baptism was so good. He's been taught by 41 missionaries and we had probably 10-12 of them there for him. He got super emotional which I've never really seen from him which was super cool. He bought a white karate outfit to be baptized in because he didn't want to wear the classic jumpsuit. Classic. Ofc he wanted say something at the end of the baptism and he was joking about his karate suit and said we are all warriors and Kung fu pandas for God. I'm so happy for him and hopefully it just gets better for him from here!!


Also we got transfer news so I'm gonna be staying here and getting a new comp, Elder Thomson! Elder Henline and I are finally splitting up after 4 transfers together haha but I'm excited for the new change!

  It was a good week but a hard week. Lots of ups and downs. The activity days girls heart attacked our door at the beginning of the week and we're just gonna keep it up for as long as we can.  On Wed I picked up my trainee! His name is Elder Giauque and somehow you pronounce his name like juke. He's from Arizona and he and I are pretty different but we found some common ground on Avatar the Last Airbender lol.   He's excited to do everything and wants to be obedient so that part of training makes it really easy! Ive been working him hard and he's been pretty exhausted but he tells me he likes it so we're gonna keep it up haha. Last transfer I was working on and praying for patience and then God had me become a trainer haha now I'm definitely using that patience! Missionary work can be hard and now training makes it harder but I'm enjoying it and I've learned a ton in these last 5 days. I just hope I can be a good trainer for him!  We got to play some ba...

January 17, 2022 - What It Do Family and Friends

  It was a lovely week and I'm just gonna do some bullet points of some highlights or funny things! ~This amazing lady named Deb told us she wants to join the church so we started the discussions with her and she loves it!! ~Our door approach we tried, "Hey, we've been trying to reach you concerning your cars extended warranty... nah just kidding we're the missionaries haha" got some good laughs out of people with it  ~Met a guy who's name was Jesus and he likes to jump in the park when the moon is high in the sky lol ~Our friend Will that we've been teaching brought his wife and kids to church on Sunday! It was the coolest thing and made me so happy! Definitely the highlight of the week ~Quilted with Sister Mahoney again Quick thought, even if we have just a desire to believe and trust in God and  Christ then that's enough. November 29, 2021 - Elder Uchtdorf the German Shepherd

This week flew by. We had so many meetings this week it was crazy. We district council on Tuesday, zone conference on Wednesday, Thanksgiving on Thursday, and then the mission conference with Elder Uchtdorf on Saturday. And then I spoke in church on Sunday. Definitely the busiest week of my mission so far but also probably the best.  Thanksgiving was awesome, pretty different from being home but at least this year I could taste the food because last year I had covid over Thanksgiving and couldn't taste anything. We visited 5 families, had a really good dinner, and ate a whole lot of pie. We had another lesson with Will this week and it was the best he's such a good person and literally the ideal person you want to teach.  Elder Uchtdorf was so cool. It was almost as if he had a glow to him, he truly carries the Light of Christ. He was funny and making jokes throughout his talk.
