August 8, 2022 - Surgery on the Mish

Another week in the mission baby. We hit 11 months as a missionary this week which is pretty wild to think about. And out of all the weeks I've had this was probably the most unique haha.

So yeah I went under the knife and had surgery on Tuesday lolz. Monday night we were out proselytizing and just getting after it. Ya know gathering Israel baptizing nations the whole thing. And we were messing around and I wasn't looking and I stepped off the curb and got hit by a biker. Yeah it was rough. We broke a couple ribs but nothing too bad. Anyway after long deliberation they decided to let me stay on the mission and get surgery here in Reno. It went really well and the recovery is going really fast. We've still been able to get everything done we needed too. I was teaching lessons less than 24 hours after surgery and probably over did it a little bit but that's alright.

Anyway we had 4 people at church so that was pretty sick. Our boy Kevin showed up when we didn't think he actually would so that was hype. And then there's that 15 year old kid named cruz whos mom is an inactive member but he went to fsy and wants to be baptized! We met with him and we're hyped to help him work towards baptism. We helped get a less active youth to church this week which was cool to see.

We also bashed a couple times about religion in general and the Book of Mormon and stuff. So I did some studying on a lot of different things we got told and some praying about it all. And then at a lesson I just bore my testimony of the gospels truthfulness and the spirit confirmed to me it was all true. There's power in bearing testimony so yall should bare your testimony this week with someone and see what happens!

Anyway I didn't really get hit by a bike hahah I just had to have a hernia repaired this week that needed to get done for a while and it finally happened this week. Hope yall had fun reading it tho! The recovery is going pretty good and its just been a slow week of resting. We did actually teach the next day and its cool the Lord helped me have the strength to do everything we needed to.

Brethren, adieu!
