Heyy what's up everyone!? We got transfer news and I'm staying with Elder Henline again haha this will be our 4th transfer together in 5 transfers. Pretty sick I'm hyped for it. 


Temple with the Dawson's

This was a long and interesting week. There's a lot of really cool people that have a ton of potential but we can't get them to meet with us consistently or to come to church. So rough because I know how much it could bless their lives and families but I also understand that people have lives and jobs and families so I can understand why we're not always super high on people's list of priorities. Except one guy named Jacob and he's such a cool guy. He's 23, married to a member whos in Utah right now and he's literally just like us. But...he's moving to Lehi soon but he'll definitely get baptized over there so that's still cool. We got to go to the temple this week with the Dawson's to do baptisms for the dead for their first time! They loved it and it was so cool, teaching, baptizing and knowing them is going to be something I never forget. We took out a service missionary in our ward proselyting with us and he loved it so much it was pretty cool. 2 in a row random doors we knocked on with him talked with us which never happens it was wild. Besides that it was the typical week and it's funny writing the highlights always makes me realize how much of a better week we had than what I feel like sometimes haha. 


Quick thought! While I've been studying this week, the idea that God and the Gospel of Jesus Christ really is rest stuck out to me. The scriptures always talk about "entering into the Lord's rest." Sometimes life is hard it feels like a lot of work, some days we have to gut it out, but the knowledge and comfort the gospel really does bring helps us find rest for our body and souls that we wouldn't have other wise.

  It was a good week but a hard week. Lots of ups and downs. The activity days girls heart attacked our door at the beginning of the week and we're just gonna keep it up for as long as we can.  On Wed I picked up my trainee! His name is Elder Giauque and somehow you pronounce his name like juke. He's from Arizona and he and I are pretty different but we found some common ground on Avatar the Last Airbender lol.   He's excited to do everything and wants to be obedient so that part of training makes it really easy! Ive been working him hard and he's been pretty exhausted but he tells me he likes it so we're gonna keep it up haha. Last transfer I was working on and praying for patience and then God had me become a trainer haha now I'm definitely using that patience! Missionary work can be hard and now training makes it harder but I'm enjoying it and I've learned a ton in these last 5 days. I just hope I can be a good trainer for him!  We got to play some ba...

January 17, 2022 - What It Do Family and Friends

  It was a lovely week and I'm just gonna do some bullet points of some highlights or funny things! ~This amazing lady named Deb told us she wants to join the church so we started the discussions with her and she loves it!! ~Our door approach we tried, "Hey, we've been trying to reach you concerning your cars extended warranty... nah just kidding we're the missionaries haha" got some good laughs out of people with it  ~Met a guy who's name was Jesus and he likes to jump in the park when the moon is high in the sky lol ~Our friend Will that we've been teaching brought his wife and kids to church on Sunday! It was the coolest thing and made me so happy! Definitely the highlight of the week ~Quilted with Sister Mahoney again Quick thought, even if we have just a desire to believe and trust in God and  Christ then that's enough. November 29, 2021 - Elder Uchtdorf the German Shepherd

This week flew by. We had so many meetings this week it was crazy. We district council on Tuesday, zone conference on Wednesday, Thanksgiving on Thursday, and then the mission conference with Elder Uchtdorf on Saturday. And then I spoke in church on Sunday. Definitely the busiest week of my mission so far but also probably the best.  Thanksgiving was awesome, pretty different from being home but at least this year I could taste the food because last year I had covid over Thanksgiving and couldn't taste anything. We visited 5 families, had a really good dinner, and ate a whole lot of pie. We had another lesson with Will this week and it was the best he's such a good person and literally the ideal person you want to teach.  Elder Uchtdorf was so cool. It was almost as if he had a glow to him, he truly carries the Light of Christ. He was funny and making jokes throughout his talk.
