January 31, 2022 - Training???
Ayo whats up everyone!! This was another crazy week. We didn't have very many lessons this week because everyone was busy or out of town which was bummy. Went on two exchanges and those were definitely the highlight of the week. Elder Bailey and I are super similar and it was one of the best and funniest days of my mission. Then Elder Carpenter is a soccer player and you guys have no idea how happy I am to have someone else here who plays and loves soccer as much as I do. It's been way too long and we got to juggle and just talk soccer it was so sick. We played some ball with these kids at an apartment complex we met a couple weeks ago. We play with them every time we see them and they said they go to the court at 3:00 every day hoping we come by haha. So we show up a couple times a week to ball with them for a bit and it's cool to see how excited they get when they see us. Also we got to teach primary and help out with singing time haha it's the best I wish we could teach primary every week.
Transfers are on Wednesday and I'm going to be staying in Washoe but now I'm training a brand new missionary! It's crazy I feel like I'm still in my training sometimes. I won't find out who it is until I pick him up on Wednesday so I'll let yall know next week. I just hope I can be a good trainer for him but I'm excited it'll be a cool experience.
I love the story of Joseph in Egypt so much its easily one of my favorite Old Testament stories. In Genesis 45 he meets his brothers who sold him into Egypt after so many years and a lot goes down he and tells them who he is. They feel terrible for selling him and all that and tells them to be not grieved and says, "So now it was not you that sent me hither, but God" I love the perspective Joseph had to why everything happened and also the ability to forgive his brothers who sold him into slavery. I think we can all have a better eternal perspective and can forgive others a little easier!
Big love, have a good week!
